Virtual Visit

Talk to a Doctor Anytime

United Healthcare provides access to Virtual Visits online and through the United Healthcare App. This is a great alternative to Urgent Care and Emergency Room visits because it provides you 24/7/365 access to U.S. board-certified doctors through the convenience of a video call.

When Can I Use Virtual Visit?

When you need care:

  • If you are considering the Emergency Room or Urgent Care Clinic for a non-emergency issue
  • If you are on vacation, on a business trip, or away from home
  • For short-term prescription refills

UHC Virtual Visit

Go to www.myuhc.com to register now. Virtual Visit can help you save time and avoid delays when you need urgent medical care.

How Does It Work?

Virtual Visit connects you with a United Healthcare (UHC) doctor by webcam; think of it as a ‘‘video office visit.’’ The doctor will ask questions regarding your medical condition and make a diagnosis. The doctor can also prescribe basic medications when needed and send an electronic prescription to your pharmacy.
Virtual Visit doctors can treat many medical conditions, including:

  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Allergies
  • Bronchitis
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Respiratory infection
  • Sinus problems

Please note: Laws differ in each state. Because telemedicine laws, statutes, and policies are still evolving, the Virtual Visit program is subject to change.

What Does It Cost?

The cost for an online visit is the same as the cost for a regular doctor’s office visit (the plan’s deductible and coinsurance/copays still apply). Not all situations are appropriate for Virtual Visit. If it is determined before you talk with the doctor that Virtual Visit is not appropriate for your situation, you will not be charged.
